1 The 400 year old Baoguo Monastery has two levels of accommodations, ours were the "Basic" which were comfortable and spotlessly clean with communal showers and ablutions, while the "Superior" rooms had en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning.

5 With the rest of the group up on "Mount Emei", I spent several hours exploring the monastery which was a lot of fun.

36 My exploring was interrupted when I was approached by a couple of monks who were less than enamoured with the two "Fräuleins" who decided to dry their bras & panties on the handrail outside their room - for the world to see. The monks said it was a total lack of respect, considering the environs, and I wholeheartedly agreed with them, so I went up and removed all of the laundry as requested and placed it all in a bag at the entrance of their room. Upon their return, the girls selfish attitude reared its ugly side, as they were upset with me because their undies were still wet.
